Step 1
Wash & soak tuvar dal in 2 cups of water & cook it in cooker by giving required number of whistles.
Step 2
Next peel raw mango & boil it in cooker & after it cools remove the seed of mango & cut it into medium pieces & keep it aside.
Step 3
Next peel kakadi & cut it into medium pieces, add 1 cup of water & put it in a vessel & boil till it is half cooked,
Step 4
Add cooked tuvar & cooked raw mango. Also add turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt & cook completely.
Step 5
While the curry is boiling grind coconut in mixer along with jeera & pour it into the curry.
Step 6
Maanga puli is ready. Take oil in a small kadai spurt mustard seeds & fenugreek seeds. Put red whole chillies in oil & pour it in curry. Also put a sprig of curry leaves into the curry.
Step 7
Maanga puli curry is ready to be served with rice.
