Hi again, hope u all enjoyed my previous recipes. Today again I have come up with a simple recipe made with tuvar dal. Though dal is prepared in each & every Indian family but the taste of dal can vary from house to house. So let me get started.

Step 1
Soak tuvar dal in water for 1/2 hour. Boil it in cooker along with water, little turmeric & red chilly powder & give 7 whistles so that the dal is smashed well.
Step 2
Take a kadai, put oil in it, crackle mustard & jeera, add finely cut onions, saute till translucent, add ginger-garlic paste & saute, add turmeric & red chilly powder & saute for a minute, add tomatoes & saute till tomatoes becomes soft, add little water, add salt & cook with closed lid till gravy is thick.
Step 3
Open the cooker & add the cooked dal into the kadai & boil for some time with closed lid. Dal can be made thick or thin as per each person's liking. Finally, add curry leaves & switch off the gas. Dal is ready to be served with hot rice
