Step 1
Heat 2-3 tbsp of oil. Add 1 tsp of cumin seeds. Then add 1 medium sized chopped onion. Saute it for 2 minutes till onions turn brown. Add chopped potatoes (chop them medium sized).
Cover and cook until the potatoes are cooked.
Step 2
Add 1.5 tsp of ginger garlic paste and cook it for another minute. Now it's time to add in the masalas. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder. Mix well. Now add 2 medium sized tomatoes roughly chopped. Add salt to taste. Mix well and cover lid to soften the tomatoes.
Step 3
After a few minutes, open the lid and mix well. Add 1/4 tsp of asafoetida. Now add the roughly medium sized cut capsiscum ( green bell peppers) Then add 1/2 tsp of dry mango powder (amchoor) and 1/2 tsp of garam masala.
Step 4
Add chopped cilantro, mix and cover the lid. Let it cook for 3-5 minutes. Open lid, mix well and serve hot.
