Step 1
Add chicken in bowl then add yogurt, mustard oil ,red chilli powder, biriyani masala ,cumin powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste and salt according to taste mix well and keep aside for 1 hour.
Step 2
Peel potatoes and halve boil it then add yellow food colour . Now cut onions into thin slices and take water in a small cup and add saffron
Step 3
Add oil in karai let it heat and then add halve boil potatoes fry it till it turns light brown
Step 4
take out potatoes and add sliced onion and fry them till tiurn to golden brown now add marinated chicken and fry it slightly
Step 5
Take a pan add oil let it heat then add cloves, cinnamon stick , cardamoms and bay leave now add one sliced onion ginger garlic paste cook them for 2 mins then add chilli powder , turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder.
Step 6
cook the masala till oil separates now add fried chicken to it add little water cook till all spice absorb by chicken

In a pot take water then add salt ,cloves,cinnamon stick ,black cardamoms,bay leaves wait till water starts to boil

Now add rice which is soaked for 30 min

cover the lid now wait till rice 1/3rd cooked on a high flame now drain water from rice
Step 10
In a separate add rice for first layer then add chicken masala to it sprinkle fried onions , biriyani masala ,kewra water and biriyani flavour

now add second or upper layer of rice on top of chicken and add potatoes ,fried, and biriyani masala, kewra water ,lime juice, saffron water and ghee yellow food color and meetha atter.
Step 12
seal the pot with foil paper or with atta then cover with a lid

cook for 40 mins on low heat

Remove from heat and gently mix before serving
