Step 1
Heat milk, water, sugar and cardamom pods to a vessel. Stir well so that the sugar dissolves and turn off the heat just before the milk boils.
Step 2
Heat ghee in another pan on a medium flame and add the Sooji. Keep stirring to lightly roast the Sooji in ghee making sure not to let it turn brown.
Step 3
Once the roasted sooji gives out a good aroma, slowly stir in the heated milk mixture. Keep stirring to make sure that there are no lumps.
Step 4
Continue to stir till sooji mixture leaves the edges of the pan and reaches the desired consistency. This should take approximately 3-4 mins and the halwa is ready to serve.
