Step 1
Take a bowl, add 1 cup all purpose flour, 1/3 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder(for colour), add water slowly and make a thick batter, make sure to remove lumps
Step 2
Add 1/2 cup soaked (2 hr) and finely grinded urad dal/Split lentils into this batter, mix it well
Step 3
Take a cookware, add 2 cup sugar, 1.5 cup water and make one string sugar syrup, add cardamom powder once it cools down
Step 4
Fill the batter in a cone of plastic /long sauce bottle having small opening
Step 5
Heat 3 cups oil in a kadhai on medium flame
Step 6
Now slowly make a spiral shape of this batter, and cook till it gets brown from both the side
Step 7
Take out the jalebi from oil and put in the sugar syrup for 2 minutes
Step 8
Serve this jalebi hot
