Step 1
Soak boiled rice and dosa rice overnight.
Step 2
Mix the soaked rice, grated coconut and salt in a vessel.
Step 3
Grind the mixture using minimum water. Say about 200ml water for this quantity of rice. Batter should be thick enough to make rice balls
Step 4
Wrap the rice balls using fresh turmeric leaves. This step is optional. You can even use banana leaves or even skip it if it's not available.
Step 5
Using a steamer or an idly maker cook it.
Ood is ready.
This tastes well with Maasa looqa
(Chicken or mutton gravy)
