Step 1
Take a pressure cooker, add 500 gm soacked (2-3 hr) chickpea, 1/4 tbsp salt, 1 bay leaf, boiled tea powder or tea leaves water(by straining it) and boil till 3 whistles on medium flame
Step 2
Take another cookware, heat 3 tbsp mustard oil / any oil, add 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp coriander seeds, 1 tsp ajwain and cook till it gets brown, now add 1 tbsp ginger garlic and green chilli paste and cook for 1 min, add 1 finely chopped onion, cook till it gets brown, add 3 grinded tomatoe (puree) and cook for 3-4 minutes, add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp asafetida, 1/4 tbsp salt, 1/2 tsp garam masala, mix it well and cook for 5 minutes on low flame
Step 3
Now add the boiled chickpea with its water it this and mix it and cook for 9-10 minutes
Step 4
Serve it hot with Indian bread
