Step 1
Take a pan add water and sugar to it and boil it over medium flame Till it turns brown in color and thick.
Step 2
Further take a bowl add maida, fennel seeds and cardamom pods to it and mix it
Step 3
Now add khoya if you have or just add whole milk to it and mix it well to avoid any lumps.(you can add milkmaid)
Step 4
Leave the mixture for 20-25 mins and now take a pan and add oil let it hot over medium flame
Step 5
Add pinch of baking soda or 1/2tsp of baking powder to the mixture and mix well to a batter
Step 6
Lower the heat of oil pan and take a 3 -4 ladle of batter and gently pour on oil and deep fry them make 4- 5 malpua at a time. Fry it on a low to medium heat.
Step 7
when the batter becomes light brown flip over and cook from thr both side once done then remove it from the pan.
Step 8
Further do check the sugar syrup need to be warm if not then slightly make them arm and add fried malpua to it.
Step 9
Gently coat the malpua in a sugar syrup and sprinkle some finely sliced almonds and pistachios for garnishing. You can add rabri too for make it more delicious and serve it
