This two names same for one Recipe one is famous in Northern side of India and another is famous in southern side of India mostly Kerala side. Its also famous in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Step 1
The difference in Malabar and Lachha paratha is ,Making Malabar paratha we need only All purpose flour(maida) while making Lachha paratha we need 1:1 ration of all purpose flour and wheat flour. you can add according to your choice because lachha paratha is healthier than malabar paratha.Let's make it

In a bowl take maida and add salt , sugar, baking soda and oil mix it well (if you are making Lachha paratha just add 1 cup maida and cup wheat flour and remaining process will be same)

Now add milk and knead it, you need some water to knead into soft dough.
Step 4
Cover with damp cotton cloth and let it rest for 30 mins .
Step 5
Take a large ball size of dough and roll and flatten it.
Step 6
also sprinkle some flour for smooth rolling out. Roll it into thin circle.
Step 7
Now apply some oil/ghee all over chapati and sprinkle flour all over it.
Step 8
Now create pleats by folding in a zig zag manner with the help of fingers.
Step 9
Further start the pleated dough stretch and roll in a circle or like swiss roll .Secure the end by pressing it inside gently
Step 10
Now sprinkle flour over rolled ball and start to roll it out gently without applying too much pressure in a round shape.
Step 11
Heat the flat pan over medium flame and place paratha on pan cook for 1 min and flip to other side cook it
Step 12
Now paratha forms brown color dots over it now apply oil to each side and cook for evenly golden brown.
Step 13
Remove from pan and do the same for all dough.
Step 14
Serve it hot with curry or sabji
