This is a simple Urad dal and Mint Chutney which goes well with rice and chapati.

Step 1
Add some oil in a kadai and once its hot add the urad dal and coriander seeds to it. Fry for around a minute.
Step 2
Add green chillies and dry red chillies to it. Saute for a minute ish. To this add garlic, curry leaves and tamarind. Saute till the urad dal is a little brown.
Step 3
Add mint to this and saute for a few minutes till the leaves look cooked. Keep it aside and let it cool.
Step 4
Grind all ingredients in a mixie grinder. DO not grind for too long, let the mixture be a little coarse.
Step 5
Garnish with some raw onions. Enjoy with ghee and rice or with a dosa or idly.
