Step 1
Soak ldli rice for 4 to 5 hours. Clean the rice n add it to the mixie jar. Add along with it coconut, cooked rice n yeast. Grind to a fine paste.
Step 2
While grinding add little water. The batter should be of dosa consistency.
Step 3
Ferment the batter for 8 to 10 hours. The next day add sugar n salt. Stir well. Use an appam vessel which is readily available in the market. Add the batter to the pan n swirl it on all sides. close the lid n cook it. There is no need to flip it.
