Ingredients

  • 2 units Egg
  • 1 cup Steel cut oats
  • 4 units Garlic cloves (Chopped)
  • 2 units Green chillies (Chopped)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black crushed pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 inch Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Cheese (Grated)
  • 1 handful Cilantro (For garnish)
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions

  1. 1In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and green chili, sautéing until the garlic is partially cooked.
  2. 2Add 2 cups of water to the pot and bring to a boil.
  3. 3Stir in the steel cut oats and a pinch of salt into the boiling water. Cook over medium heat until the oats reach the desired consistency.
  4. 4In a separate pan, melt some butter over medium heat. Crack an egg into the pan, keeping the yolk intact. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cover the pan and cook until a white film forms over the yolk.
  5. 5Serve the cooked oatmeal in a bowl, placing the cooked egg on top. Garnish with grated cheese and cilantro before serving.
