Masala Oatmeal
Spicy oatmeal with Indian spices
Ingredients
- 1 cups Steel cut oats
- 1 medium Onions (Medium size)
- 1 medium Tomatoes (Medium size)
- 2 units Green chillies
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 2 tsp Cumin powder
- 2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cups Plain yogurt
- 2 cups Water
- 2 tbsp Oil (For sautéing)

Instructions
- 1Heat oil in a vessel over medium heat.
- 2Sauté the chopped onions and green chillies in the heated oil until the onions are translucent.
- 3Add turmeric, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder to the onions and cook for one minute, stirring constantly.
- 4Add the chopped tomatoes to the vessel and cook until they become mushy.
- 5Add 2 cups of water to the vessel and bring to a boil.
- 6Add the steel cut oats and salt to the boiling water. Cook until the oats reach the desired consistency.
- 7Divide the cooked oatmeal into two serving bowls. Top with plain yogurt and serve warm.
