Saffola Masala Oats with Vegetables
A quick and nutritious dish featuring Saffola masala oats cooked with a variety of vegetables including peas, beans, onions, and tomatoes, seasoned with aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup Instant oats (I used Saffola masala oats)
- 0.5 unit Onions, finely chopped (Chop fine)
- 0.5 unit Tomatoes, finely chopped (Chop fine)
- 2 unit Green chillies, finely chopped (Cut finely)
- 3 unit Garlic cloves, finely chopped (Cut finely)
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 3 unit Green beans, finely chopped (Cut finely)
- 2 tablespoons Green peas
- 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric
- 0.5 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Coriander powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 2 cups Water
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
- 1 handful Coriander leaves (For garnish)
Instructions
- 1In a pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
- 2Add the green chillies and garlic to the pan. Sauté until the garlic turns light brown.
- 3Add the onions, green peas, and green beans to the pan. Sauté until the onions become translucent.
- 4Incorporate the tomatoes into the pan, followed by turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Sauté until the tomatoes become mushy.
- 5Pour 2 cups of water into the pan and bring to a boil. Add the instant oats and cook for 2 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
