Nariyal (Coconut) ke Laddoo

A traditional sweet dish from Assam and West Bengal, often prepared during Lakshmi Puja and Bihu. These laddoos are chewy and delightful, similar to chocolate balls.

Ingredients

  • 1 unit Coconut, grated (You can use scrapers or a mixer grinder.)
  • 200 grams Jaggery (Add jaggery according to your taste.)
  • 4 units Green cardamom pods

Instructions

  1. 1Grate one coconut using a mixer grinder or a scraper.
  2. 2Add the jaggery to a pan and allow it to begin melting over medium heat.
  3. 3Once the jaggery begins to melt, add the grated coconut. Stir continuously until the coconut releases oil and becomes sticky, separating from the pan's surface.
  4. 4During the cooking process, add the crushed cardamom pods to the mixture.
  5. 5Once the mixture is ready, grease your palms and shape the coconut-jaggery mixture into laddoos while it is still warm.
