Coconut Burfi

Coconut Burfi is a sweet, which is very simple and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Coconut, grated
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 10 teaspoons Ghee
  • 3 count Green cardamom pods (Crush well)
  • 15 count Almonds (For decoration and extra taste)

Instructions

  1. 1Heat a pan and add 6 teaspoons of ghee. Add the grated coconut and roast until it turns light brown or golden.
  2. 2Add one cup of sugar to the roasted coconut along with the crushed cardamom. Stir well and continue roasting.
  3. 3Add 2 more teaspoons of ghee and continue to stir and roast until the mixture turns light brown.
  4. 4Grease a square bowl with 2 teaspoons of ghee. Transfer the roasted mixture into the bowl and allow it to cool. Refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes.
  5. 5Cut the Burfi into pieces and garnish with almonds for decoration.
