Fritters/Pakora Recipe

Delicious evening snacks. Have it with tea for best taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Gram flour
  • 2 units Potato
  • 2 units Onions
  • 2 units Green chillies (Add more if you want it more spicy)
  • 0.5 tablespoons Ajwain
  • 0.5 tablespoons Cumin seeds
  • 0.5 tablespoons Fennel seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 0.5 tablespoons Red chilli powder
  • 0.5 tablespoons Coriander powder
  • 0.25 tablespoons Baking soda
  • 1 as needed Water (To make a thick batter)
  • 1 for frying Oil

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, combine 2 cups of gram flour with 2 chopped potatoes, 2 chopped onions, and 2 chopped green chillies. Gradually add water to form a thick batter.
  2. 2Incorporate 0.5 tablespoons each of ajwain, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, red chilli powder, and coriander powder into the batter. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 0.25 tablespoons of baking soda, mixing thoroughly.
  3. 3Heat oil in a kadhai or suitable cookware over medium heat until hot.
  4. 4Using a spoon, carefully drop portions of the batter into the hot oil. Fry the pakoras on medium flame until golden brown on both sides.
