Step 1
First lets prepare paneer. If using store bought paneer soak it in warm water for 10 mins to make it soft. Then cut it into roughly medium size pieces and crush it by hand till it reaches a crumbly texture.
Step 2
Heat ghee in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Let it fry for a min and then add chopped green chillies and chopped onions.
Step 3
Cook the onion till they turn transparent and slightly pink. Then add ginger garlic paste and let it fry for 2 mins.
Step 4
Once the onions are cooked, add the chopped tomatoes along with turmeric and red chilli powder and let it cook till the tomatoes are fully cooked. Then add the pav bhaji masala and let the mixture cook for 2 mins.
Step 5
Now add a little water if the onion tomato mixture is too dry. Then add the crumbled paneer and salt and mix all well. Keep covered and cook on a medium flame for 2 mins.
Step 6
Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame. Serve hot with a side of roti.
