Step 1
Grind all ingredients in the for grinding section to a coarse paste.
Step 2
turn on Instant pot in saute mode and once hot, add oil, cumin seeds, star anise and bay leaf. stir for 30 seconds.
Step 3
add onions and saute for a few minutes
Step 4
add beans and saute for a few minutes.
Step 5
add carrot, peas and tomatoes and stir for a minute.
Step 6
add the ground paste to this. mix well. Sauté this till the raw smell of the mixture goes away
Step 7
top this with ghee and add 2 cups rice and 2 cups water. mix well
Step 8
close the instant pot and cook for 7 minutes in manual mode. Wait for the instant pot to release pressure naturally
Step 9
garnish with coriander leaves.
