Puttu pudi

Add water little by little and make balls by just roughly mimicking the mixing action.

boneless. Cut into very small pieces. You can also prefer minced meat or prawns.

Step 1
Take a vessel and put oil, cumin seeds, onion. Let it turn slightly golden yellow. Cut green chillies, and put inside it, add coriander, turmeric powder, chilly powder and chicken pieces . Let it cook for about 5 to 8 mins and then switch it off. Let it cool.
Step 2
Keep puttu pudi ready.
Step 3
Mix the prepared masala with 2 cups of grated coconut and mix well.
Step 4
Take a puttu maker, put 1 spoon of this masala, then put 2 spoon full of puttu pudi, then again 1 spoon of the masala. Repeat the process till the puttu holder is full.
Keep it on the stove and cook till the steam appears on top of the puttu holder.
