Instructions
- 1In a small bowl, combine half a cup of warm water with 1 teaspoon of sugar and 2 teaspoons of nutritional yeast. Mix well and set aside to activate.
- 2In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and half a cup of whole milk. Mix well to combine.
- 3Add the activated yeast mixture to the flour mixture. Knead well, adding warm water as needed, until a soft dough forms.
- 4Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise for 3-4 hours until doubled in size.
- 5After the dough has risen, knead it again briefly. Divide into small balls and roll each into a 20 cm diameter circle, using flour to prevent sticking.
- 6Heat a dosa pan or any flat pan over medium heat. Place the rolled dough on the pan and cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook the other side until done.
- 7Repeat the cooking process for the remaining dough. Serve the pita bread warm, ideally with chicken curry or your favorite dish.
