This is a deliciously addictive spicy chilli potato recipe.
Ingredients
- 5 units Potato (Cut into long cuboidal shapes)
- 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Vinegar
- 2 units Onions (Chopped)
- 1 unit Capsicum (Chopped)
- 2 cups Oil (For deep frying)
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 1.5 teaspoons Salt (Divided)
- 0.5 teaspoon Corn Starch (Mixed with water)
- 4 tablespoons Tomato Sauce
- 5 cups Water (For boiling potatoes)
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds (For garnish)

Instructions
- 1Cut the potatoes into long cuboidal shapes. In a cookware, bring 5 cups of water to a boil, add 0.5 teaspoon of salt, and boil the potatoes for 4-5 minutes until they are partially cooked but not too soft.
- 2In another cookware, heat oil and deep fry the boiled potatoes until they are golden brown.
- 3In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil, add chopped onions and capsicum, and sauté for 2 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder and 1 teaspoon of salt, mixing well. Incorporate 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of vinegar, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 4In a bowl, mix 3 tablespoons of water with 0.5 teaspoon of corn starch. Add this mixture to the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.
- 5Add the fried potatoes to the sauce, cooking for 1-2 minutes to ensure they are well coated. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
