Step 1
Cut salmon into medium size pieces and make sure it's dry by dabbing out all the water using a kitchen towel.
Step 2
Crush 5 pieces of garlic cloves. Prepare the spice mix by mixing the fish fry masala with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Rub olive oil on both sides of each fish filet. Then sprinkle the spice powder mix on both sides and spread evenly.
Step 4
Add the crushed garlic pieces evenly on each piece and then squeeze some lemon juice over it.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 450F. Cover the baking tray with aluminium foil and glaze it with some olive oil. Then place the salmon pieces on the tray.
Step 6
Once the over is heated to 450F, place the baking tray into the oven and let it bake for 12 mins.
Step 7
After baking for 12 mins, set the oven to the Broil setting. Keep it on broil for 2 mins and take it out of the oven. The salmon should be cooked well with a crusty top.
Step 8
For the ginger yogurt sauce :
Mix yogurt, grated ginger, finely chopped green chilies, salt and finely chopped cilantro with very little water to get a good sauce consistency.
Step 9
Serve the baked salmon with some ginger yogurt sauce on the side.
