Step 1
Soak the Basmati/white rice for 3-4 hours in warm water.clean and drain it well.transfer to a mixer grinder.
Step 2
grind it well adding grated coconut,cumin,egg,boiled rice and little water.
(The batter should not be too thick or too loosy)

Transfer the batter to a mixing bowl.add enough amount of salt and baking soda.mix well.keep it closed for 1/2 hour to 1 hour.
Step 4
now,heat coconut oil in a pan.add onions,tomatoes,green chillies,ginger garlic paste,Corrionder leaves,salt and sauté well.
Step 5
When the onions are transparent,add the cooked beef into it.(beef is cooked and crushed into small pieces)

next,add all the masala powders in the masala powder ingredients section and roast well.

Our Batter and masala is ready.
For preparing’ kannappam’ we need Idli mould(shown in picture).
First grease the mould with coconut oil and fill it with the batter.then add 1 teaspoon of masala over it.
Like this fill all the moulds.
(The moulds with the batter and masala looks like ‘Kannu’ which means eye)

Then steam it for 15 minutes.do not over cook.
Allow it to cool and unmould it.

kannappam is ready to serve hot!!
