Ingredients
- 6 Apples
- 8 Marshmallows
- 1 cup Granulated sugar (Originally "C" sugar. Substituted with granulated sugar.)
- 1/2 cup Shredded coconut (Originally "cocoanut shredded".)
- 1 cup Water
- 6 Cherries
Instructions
- 1Peel and core the apples.
- 2In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes to form a syrup.
- 3Drop the prepared apples into the sugar and water syrup. Place a lid on the pan and cook the apples until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- 4Remove the apples from the syrup and roll them in the shredded coconut.
- 5Remove the pan from the heat. Add the marshmallows to the syrup and allow them to melt, stirring until dissolved.
- 6Pour the marshmallow syrup around the apples and fill the hole in the center of each apple. Place a red cherry on top of each apple.
