Step 1
Fry gram dal,coriander seeds, dry red chillies separately. Keep aside. Now slightly roast small onion and grated coconut and curry leaves until the raw smell goes.
Step 2
Now grind everything to a fine paste (gram dal,coriander seeds, red chillies, small onions, coconut, curry leaves, salt,sugar and water. Then add curd and grind again.
Step 3
Now season with mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilli. Mix well and check the salt. It's a nice combination with idles and dosas.
