Dried Prawns
Traditional sun-dried prawns preserved with salt and turmeric, a flavorful ingredient used in Asian cooking. This preservation method creates intensely flavored dried prawns that can be stored for months.
Instructions
- 1Clean and wash the prawns thoroughly with some salt. Drain all the water and transfer the prawns to a bowl for marination.
- 2Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, fish fry masala, and salt to the prawns. Mix well to coat the prawns evenly and let them marinate for 30 minutes.
- 3Heat oil in a wide pan over medium heat and add curry leaves. Once the leaves are fragrant, add the marinated prawns, ensuring they are spread out in a single layer without overlapping.
- 4Cook the prawns for a few minutes, then flip them to ensure even cooking on both sides. Continue cooking until the prawns are well-cooked and have a golden color.
- 5Once the prawns are cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate lined with kitchen towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot.
