Dried Prawns
Traditional sun-dried prawns preserved with salt and turmeric, a flavorful ingredient used in Asian cooking. This preservation method creates intensely flavored dried prawns that can be stored for months.
Instructions
- 1Combine the prawns with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, and salt. Mix well and set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.
- 2Slice the onions and green chillies. Heat sunflower oil in a pan over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Fry until they turn light brown, about 6 to 7 minutes.
- 3Add the slit green chillies and curry leaves to the pan. Fry for an additional minute.
- 4Add the marinated prawns to the pan and sauté on medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- 5Add coriander powder, cumin powder, fennel flower, and garam masala to the pan. Mix well and fry for 3 to 4 minutes until the masala coats the prawns thoroughly.
- 6Squeeze lemon juice over the prawns and stir well. Add fresh curry leaves, turn off the heat, and serve hot.
