Masala Prawns Fry

Masala Prawns Fry is a delicious and spicy non-vegetarian side dish that pairs well with rice, appam, or porotta.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams Prawns
  • 0.25 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Fennel flower
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 2 units Onions
  • 4 units Green chillies
  • 10 units Curry leaves
  • 1.5 teaspoons Lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons Sunflower oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. 1Combine the prawns with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, and salt. Mix well and set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. 2Slice the onions and green chillies. Heat sunflower oil in a pan over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Fry until they turn light brown, about 6 to 7 minutes.
  3. 3Add the slit green chillies and curry leaves to the pan. Fry for an additional minute.
  4. 4Add the marinated prawns to the pan and sauté on medium heat for about 2 minutes.
  5. 5Add coriander powder, cumin powder, fennel flower, and garam masala to the pan. Mix well and fry for 3 to 4 minutes until the masala coats the prawns thoroughly.
  6. 6Squeeze lemon juice over the prawns and stir well. Add fresh curry leaves, turn off the heat, and serve hot.
