Omelette

A simple and quick way to make an omelette with fried onions.

Ingredients

  • 2 units Egg
  • 0.5 unit Onions, finely chopped (Finely chopped)
  • 2 units Green chillies, finely chopped (Finely chopped)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black crushed pepper
  • 1 handful Cilantro, finely chopped (Finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (For frying)

Instructions

  1. 1Finely chop the onions, green chillies, and cilantro.
  2. 2Heat a pan and add the butter. Once melted, add the chopped green chillies and sauté for a minute.
  3. 3Add the chopped onions to the pan and cook until they become translucent.
  4. 4In a bowl, beat the eggs with salt, pepper, turmeric, red chili powder, and cilantro until bubbles form on the surface.
  5. 5Add the sautéed onions and green chillies to the egg mixture and mix well.
  6. 6Pour the egg mixture back into the pan and cover. Cook on low-medium heat until the surface is partially set.
  7. 7Using a wide spatula, carefully flip the omelette to cook the other side. Cook for an additional minute.
  8. 8Remove the omelette from the pan and serve hot with a side of buttered toast.
