Spicy Drumsticks Fry/Muringha Fry

A very special, spicy, and delicious side dish featuring drumsticks (vegetable) fried to perfection with a blend of spices.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 units Drumsticks (vegetable)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1-2 units Dried red chilli (Crushed)
  • 3-4 tablespoons Coconut oil

Instructions

  1. 1Peel the skin off the drumsticks and wash them thoroughly. Cut them into equal parts, approximately 2 inches in length.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, black pepper powder, garam masala, and crushed red chilli flakes. Add 2 tablespoons of warm water and mix to form a smooth paste.
  3. 3Transfer the drumsticks into the bowl with the spice paste and mix well to coat evenly. Allow them to marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. 4Place a pan over medium heat and add coconut oil. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the marinated drumsticks one by one. Fry until the drumsticks are golden brown.
  5. 5Remove the drumsticks from the oil once they are done. Serve hot with rice.
