This snack is a good combination with a hot cup of tea!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Green peas (Soaked in warm water for 3-4 hours)
- 1 unit/count Onions (Finely chopped)
- 3 unit/count Green chillies (Finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp Ginger (Crushed)
- 0.5 handful Curry leaves (Crushed)
- 1 tsp Salt (Adjust to taste)
- 1 cup Vegetable oil (For frying)
Instructions
- 1Soak the green peas in warm water for 3-4 hours to soften them.
- 2In a mixer grinder, add the chopped onion, green chillies, crushed ginger, and crushed curry leaves. Pulse briefly to crush the ingredients without forming a paste. Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl.
- 3Drain the soaked green peas and transfer them to the mixer grinder. Grind thoroughly without adding water. Combine the ground peas with the onion mixture in the mixing bowl and mix well.
- 4Adjust the salt in the mixture. Shape small portions into balls and flatten them slightly. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the vadas until they turn golden brown.
- 5Remove the vadas from the oil once they are golden brown. Serve hot with a cup of tea.
