Fry Wonton

A delightful Chinese starter featuring crispy fried wontons filled with a savory mixture of vegetables and spices.

Ingredients

  • 300 gms Maida (All purpose flour)
  • 1 unit Carrot (Diced)
  • 50 gms Cabbage (Diced)
  • 2 units Green chillies (Chopped)
  • 1 tsp Ajinomoto (MSG)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp White Pepper powder
  • 500 ml Oil for frying (For deep frying)

Instructions

  1. 1Combine the maida with water to form a smooth dough. Roll the dough into small discs slightly larger than a puri.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine the diced carrot, diced cabbage, chopped green chillies, salt, ajinomoto, and white pepper powder. Mix thoroughly to create the filling.
  3. 3Place a small amount of the filling onto each dough disc. Fold the edges over the filling and seal tightly to form wontons.
  4. 4Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Carefully add the wontons and fry until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. 5Serve the fried wontons hot with chili sauce.
