Chicken Fried Momos

A delightful Chinese starter or side dish featuring crispy fried momos stuffed with a savory chicken filling.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams Chicken, shredded (Shredded)
  • 100 grams Maida (All-purpose flour)
  • 1 inch Ginger, finely chopped (Finely chopped)
  • 4 count Garlic flakes, finely chopped (Finely chopped)
  • 1 count Green chillies, finely chopped (Finely chopped)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon White pepper powder
  • 1 cup Oil (For kneading the dough & for deep frying)
  • 5 tablespoons Water

Instructions

  1. 1Cook the chicken thoroughly and shred it into small pieces.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ginger, garlic, green chillies, salt, and white pepper powder. Mix well and set aside.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, combine maida with oil and water to form a smooth dough. Roll the dough into small puris.
  4. 4Place the chicken filling in the center of each puri, fold and seal the edges. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the momos until golden brown.
  5. 5Serve the fried momos hot with garlic sauce.
