Cauliflower Bhaaji

A flavorful Indian side dish featuring cauliflower florets sautéed with onions, ginger-garlic paste, and spices, perfect to accompany rice or rotis.

Ingredients

  • 1000 grams Cauliflower (Cut into small florets)
  • 2 medium White onions (Medium size)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 0.25 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sunflower oil

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the cauliflower into small florets and wash thoroughly in slightly warm water. Drain the water completely.
  2. 2In a kadai, heat the sunflower oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they become translucent. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, and red chilli powder, and continue to sauté until the spices are well incorporated.
  3. 3Add the cauliflower florets to the kadai and sauté with the onion and spice mixture. Season with salt. Cover the kadai with a lid and cook until the cauliflower is half-cooked. Remove the lid and continue to cook until the cauliflower is slightly browned and dry.
