A traditional Indian breakfast dish made from rice flour and coconut, steamed to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rice flour
  • 1 cup Coconut, shredded
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups Boiling water (For dough preparation)

Instructions

  1. 1In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour and salt. Gradually add boiling water while stirring continuously to form a smooth dough.
  2. 2Using an idiappam maker, fill it with the prepared dough and press it to form noodle-like strands in a circular motion onto a greased idli plate.
  3. 3Place the idli plates in a steamer and steam the idi appam for 10 minutes until cooked through.
