This refreshing historical cocktail combines the warmth of aged brandy with the cool, sweet intensity of green crème de menthe. Served frappé-style over crushed ice in a large brandy snifter, it offers a vibrant visual appeal and a crisp, minty finish. A sweeter variation of the classic Stinger, this digestif is perfect for sipping slowly after a rich meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Crushed ice (Originally 'Fine Ice'. Quantity estimated to fill glass half full.)
  • 1 ounce Aged Brandy (Originally '1 pony of Old Brandy'. Converted to modern measurement (1 pony = 1 oz).)
  • 1 1/2 ounces Green Creme de Menthe (Originally '1 jigger of green Creme de Menthe'. Converted to modern measurement (1 jigger = 1.5 oz).)

Instructions

  1. 1Fill a large brandy snifter (Brandy Roller glass) half full with crushed ice (fine ice).
  2. 2Pour the aged brandy and green Creme de Menthe directly over the ice.
