Fruit Jelly for Sweet Sandwiches
A simple fruit jelly recipe perfect for sweet sandwiches.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Gelatin
- 1 cup Cold water
- 1 cup Boiling water
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups Orange juice
- 1/4 cup Lemon juice
Instructions
- 1Soak the gelatin in the cold water for 5 minutes to soften.
- 2Dissolve the softened gelatin in the boiling water. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
- 3Strain the mixture to remove any undissolved particles. When cold, add the orange and lemon juice. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or mold to a thickness of about 3/8 inch. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until set.
