Peach Pie
A classic peach pie recipe.
Ingredients
- Pie Crust (see instructions) (Recipe assumes a prepared pie crust. If making from scratch, follow a standard pie crust recipe.)
- 8 Peaches (Peeled and stoned.)
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Egg (For egg wash.)
Instructions
- 1Line a pie plate with the pie crust. Wet the edges of the crust with water.
- 2Arrange the peeled and stoned peaches in the pie crust. Sprinkle the sugar over the peaches. Lay 3 narrow strips of the pie crust across the peaches, fasten the ends. Lay 3 more strips to form diamond spaces.
- 3Wet the edges of the crust again and lay a rim of crust over the edges. Wash the top of the pie with egg. Bake in a moderate oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
