Peach Pie

A classic peach pie recipe.

Ingredients

  • Pie Crust (see instructions) (Recipe assumes a prepared pie crust. If making from scratch, follow a standard pie crust recipe.)
  • 8 Peaches (Peeled and stoned.)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg (For egg wash.)

Instructions

  1. 1Line a pie plate with the pie crust. Wet the edges of the crust with water.
  2. 2Arrange the peeled and stoned peaches in the pie crust. Sprinkle the sugar over the peaches. Lay 3 narrow strips of the pie crust across the peaches, fasten the ends. Lay 3 more strips to form diamond spaces.
  3. 3Wet the edges of the crust again and lay a rim of crust over the edges. Wash the top of the pie with egg. Bake in a moderate oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
