Step 1
Wash fish several times in water.Smear it with salt, turmeric n chillie powder. Transfer it in a clay pot. Best results if it is cooked in clay pot.
Step 2
Add to the fishes chopped ginger, green chillies, shallots n tomato. Add to it tamarind extract.
Step 3
Grind jeera, coconut n dry chillies to a fine smooth paste. Before grinding saute for few secs dry red chillies in oil.
Step 4
Add the ground paste to the clay pot. Also add sufficient water to the clay pot by cleaning the grinded jar with water. Switch the gas stove n let it boil well to form a thick gravy. Finally add curry leaves. Close the lid n serve it after 10 mins.
