Choorma Laddoo
Choorma Laddoo is a traditional Rajasthani dessert made from wheat flour, sugar, and ghee. These sweet balls are rich in flavor and often served as a dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Wheat flour
- 0.75 cup Semolina
- 2 cups Powdered sugar
- 5 cups Ghee (2 cups for mixing and additional ghee required for frying)
- 2 teaspoons Cardamom powder
- 0.25 cup Cashews, roasted

Instructions
- 1In a bowl, combine the wheat flour, semolina, and 0.5 cup of melted ghee. Gradually add warm water, mixing continuously, until a firm dough forms.
- 2Divide the dough into small portions and shape each into cylindrical dumplings (muthiya).
- 3Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, fry the dumplings until they are golden brown. Remove and let them cool completely.
- 4Once cooled, break the fried dumplings into small pieces and grind them finely using a mixer grinder.
- 5Combine the ground dumplings with 2 cups of ghee and 2 cups of powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly.
- 6Stir in the cardamom powder and roasted cashews. Mix well to distribute evenly.
- 7Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round balls. If the mixture is too dry to bind, add a little melted ghee.
- 8The choorma laddoos are ready to be served. They can be enjoyed as a dessert, snack, or alongside dal baati.
