Spicy Baked Salmon with Indian Spices

A healthy baked salmon dish made with Indian spices, served with a refreshing ginger yogurt sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium size pieces Salmon
  • 5 count Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons Fish fry masala (Aachi brand)
  • 1 teaspoon Black crushed pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 count Lemon
  • 2 teaspoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup Plain yogurt
  • 1 inch Ginger, grated
  • 1 count Green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 bunch Cilantro, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the salmon into medium-sized pieces and pat dry with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. 2Crush the garlic cloves. In a small bowl, combine the fish fry masala, salt, and black crushed pepper.
  3. 3Rub olive oil on both sides of each salmon piece. Sprinkle the spice mix evenly over both sides. Distribute the crushed garlic evenly over the salmon and squeeze lemon juice on top.
  4. 4Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and lightly glaze it with olive oil. Arrange the salmon pieces on the tray.
  5. 5Once the oven is preheated, place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 12 minutes. Then, switch the oven to the broil setting and broil for an additional 2 minutes until the salmon develops a crusty top.
  6. 6In a bowl, combine plain yogurt, grated ginger, finely chopped green chillies, and finely chopped cilantro. Add a small amount of water to achieve a sauce-like consistency.
  7. 7Serve the baked salmon hot with the ginger yogurt sauce on the side.
