Meat Box/Irachi Petti

Ingredients

  • 500 grams Chicken, boneless (You can use beef instead of chicken)
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 units Eggs
  • 2 units Onions, finely chopped
  • 3 units Green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Black crushed pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 4 tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1Cook the boneless chicken with salt, turmeric powder, and water until fully cooked. Use a mixer grinder to crush the cooked chicken and set aside.
  2. 2In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Beat the eggs and add them to the bowl, mixing thoroughly to form a smooth batter.
  3. 3Heat a pan and pour a large spoonful of batter to form a dosa. Cook until golden on both sides. Repeat for remaining batter.
  4. 4In a pan over medium heat, add coconut oil, onions, green chillies, ginger paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, and black crushed pepper. Cook until onions are translucent and spices are well roasted.
  5. 5Add the cooked and crushed chicken to the pan with the masala. Mix thoroughly to combine.
  6. 6Place 2 tablespoons of chicken filling onto each dosa. Fold the dosa into a box shape to enclose the filling.
  7. 7In a pan, heat vegetable oil over medium flame. Fry each meat box until golden brown. Serve hot with tea or coffee.
