Special Chicken Triangular Pastry/Chicken Mayonnaise Samosa
A delicious and popular samosa from Kerala, featuring a flavorful chicken filling with mayonnaise, wrapped in a crispy triangular pastry.
Instructions
- 1In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, nutritional yeast, sugar, sunflower oil, all-purpose flour, and salt. Mix thoroughly to form a smooth dough, adding warm water gradually as needed.
- 2Cover the dough and let it rest for 2 hours to allow it to rise and double in size.
- 3Once the dough has risen, knead it again on a clean surface. Divide it into small portions and shape each into an oval, thick roti.
- 4Beat the egg in a small bowl. Dip each oval-shaped dough piece into the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- 5Fry the coated dough pieces in coconut oil over medium heat until they are crispy and golden brown. Remove from oil and set aside.
- 6In a pan, fry the boneless chicken with chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt until well cooked. Transfer to a bowl.
- 7In the same pan, add coconut oil, onions, green chillies, ginger, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala, and coriander leaves. Sauté until the onions are translucent. Add the fried chicken and mix well.
- 8Cut the fried buns through the center and fill them with the prepared chicken masala.
- 9Serve the delicious spicy kameera hot, ideally with a cup of tea.
