- 1.5 cups Sugar
- 3 units Green cardamom pods
- 1 cup Milk powder
- 0.25 cup All purpose flour
- 1 pinch Baking soda
- 3 cups Ghee
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Whole milk
- 1.5 cups Water
Instructions
- 1In a saucepan, combine 1.5 cups of sugar, 1.5 cups of water, and 3 green cardamom pods. Add a dash of lemon juice and bring to a boil. Continue boiling until the syrup becomes sticky, approximately 10-15 minutes.
- 2In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of milk powder, 0.25 cup of all-purpose flour, and a pinch of baking soda. Sift the mixture to ensure uniformity. Add 1 tablespoon of ghee and mix thoroughly.
- 3Mix 0.75 tablespoon of lemon juice with 2 tablespoons of milk. Gradually incorporate this mixture into the dry ingredients, kneading to form a sticky dough. Grease your fingers and continue kneading until the dough is smooth and soft.
- 4Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into smooth balls, ensuring there are no cracks.
- 5In a deep pan, heat 3 cups of ghee over medium flame. Carefully add the dough balls and fry until they turn dark brown.
- 6Transfer the fried balls into the warm sugar syrup, allowing them to soak. Serve warm.
