FRENCH PANCAKE

FRENCH PANCAKE

These classic French pancakes are light, airy, and delightfully simple to make. The recipe uses a batter of egg yolks, flour, and milk, then incorporates beaten egg whites for extra fluffiness. Cooked slowly in a pan with butter, these pancakes offer a delicate, buttery flavor and a tender texture, perfect for a comforting breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 3 count Egg yolks
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 3 count Egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, salt, and flour until smooth. Gradually add the cold milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
  2. 2In a separate clean bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  3. 3Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt. Pour a portion of the batter into the hot pan. Cook slowly and evenly on one side for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip the pancake and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the other side is also golden brown. Serve immediately.
