Mint Beer (Alternative Method)
A refreshing mint-flavored beer drink made with fresh mint juice or bruised leaves, sweetened with sugar, and mixed with water and beer. A simpler alternative to the traditional mint beer preparation.
Ingredients
- 0.25 cup Fresh mint leaves, bruised (Or use 2-3 tablespoons mint juice)
- 2 tablespoons Sugar (Adjust to taste)
- 2 cups Cold water (Chilled or room temperature)
- 2 quarts Beer (Preferably chilled)
- 1 cup Crushed ice (Optional if beer and water are pre-chilled)

Instructions
- 1Bruise fresh mint leaves by pressing them with the back of a spoon or muddling them gently to release their oils and juice. Alternatively, extract juice from fresh mint leaves.
- 2Add sugar to the bruised mint leaves or mint juice and mix well until the sugar begins to dissolve.
- 3Pour the cold water and beer into a large tankard or pitcher. Add the sweetened mint mixture.
- 4Stir the mixture well to combine all ingredients. Add crushed ice to chill, or ensure the beer and water were pre-chilled before mixing.
- 5Serve immediately in glasses or mugs while cold and refreshing.
