Salted Peanuts

Salted Peanuts

A simple recipe for making salted peanuts at home. This recipe uses unroasted peanuts that are fried to perfection and then salted.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Raw, unroasted peanuts (Ensure peanuts are raw and not pre-roasted.)
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil (For frying)
  • 1 tsp Salt (Or to taste)

Instructions

  1. 1Remove the skins from the raw peanuts. This can be done by blanching them in boiling water for a minute, then rubbing them between your fingers or in a clean kitchen towel.
  2. 2Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan or deep fryer over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the peanuts in a single layer. Fry for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  3. 3Remove the fried peanuts from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While the peanuts are still hot, sprinkle them generously with salt. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. 4Let the salted peanuts cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
