Salted Peanuts
A simple recipe for making salted peanuts at home. This recipe uses unroasted peanuts that are fried to perfection and then salted.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Raw, unroasted peanuts (Ensure peanuts are raw and not pre-roasted.)
- 1 cup Vegetable oil (For frying)
- 1 tsp Salt (Or to taste)
Instructions
- 1Remove the skins from the raw peanuts. This can be done by blanching them in boiling water for a minute, then rubbing them between your fingers or in a clean kitchen towel.
- 2Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan or deep fryer over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the peanuts in a single layer. Fry for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- 3Remove the fried peanuts from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While the peanuts are still hot, sprinkle them generously with salt. Toss to coat evenly.
- 4Let the salted peanuts cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
