Panned Oysters
A simple recipe for panned oysters served with toast and lemon.
Ingredients

Instructions
- 1Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Use a fork to press the butter into a ball and rub it over the bottom of the hot pan.
- 2Arrange small rounds of toast on the buttered surface. Place one or two uncooked oysters on each toast round. Cover the pan (with a lid or foil) and cook until the oysters are plump, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- 3Put a small bit of butter on each oyster. Serve immediately, when the butter has melted, with slices of lemon.
