Oysters

A simple recipe for preparing oysters.

Ingredients

  • 25 oysters Oysters (Quantity estimated (25-50 oysters))
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt (Quantity estimated (to taste))
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper (Quantity estimated (to taste))
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • as needed Toast or Crackers (Quantity estimated (for serving))
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy cream (Optional)
  • 1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice (Optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Place the oysters in a blazer or pan over medium heat. Cook until they are hot and plump, about 5-10 minutes.
  2. 2Season the oysters with salt and pepper to taste. Add the butter and stir until melted and combined.
  3. 3Serve the oysters immediately on buttered toast or crackers. If desired, add heavy cream or lemon juice before serving.
